Update on the Status of The Rancocas Nature Center
Dear Supporters of the RNC, We are very pleased to announce that your collective outpouring of support has helped structure the framework of a unique private/public alliance that can help not only save; but help the Rancocas Nature Center reach it's fullest potential. Specifically, this unique partnership involves the NJ Department of Environmental Protection - Parks & Forestry, the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Westampton Township , the Rancocas Conservancy and the Friends of the Nature Center at Rancocas State Park.
We are very thankful to each of these organizations for the hard work they've invested which follows through on their publicly expressed support. Most importantly though- THANK YOU (oh wonderful volunteers and supporters!) for your passion, pledges and enjoyment of the Center. Your continuing engagement will help assure a bright future for the Rancocas. Together - we really do make a difference!!!
While there are still some i's to dot & t's to cross - we are very confident that things will come together quickly now. Please be on the look out for further details about Summer Camp, Rancocas Nature Center programs, special events (for volunteers, sponsors, members and the public at large), birdseed sales, pledge collections, etc. Kindly visit us again soon. Warmly, The Friends of RNC

About the Friends of the Rancocas Nature Center
The Rancocas Nature Center is situated on a 210 acre piece of the Rancocas State Park, and features 3 miles of hiking trails through varied habitats including meadows, forest, and wetlands.
The Nature Center has been operating for 35 years and has been providing environmental education for the surrounding community during that time, presenting programs both on and off-site for groups including schools, scouts, libraries, senior citizens, as well as the general public. In December of 2012, New Jersey Audubon announced that the Rancocas Nature Center would be closing. Local citizens and public officials rallied together and were granted 3 months to develop a plan to keep RNC open. In response, the Friends of the Nature Center at Rancocas State Park, a group of concerned citizens working to ensure that the Rancocas Nature Center continues to operate, was formed. The Friends will promote stewardship and provide environmental education for the Rancocas State Park and surrounding communities through the operation of the Rancocas Nature Center. Please explore this site for more information on the Rancocas Nature Center and what you can do to help preserve it for the future, including making a financial pledge.
